ABOUT

Creative Work

Madison has been photographing weddings and families for 15 years, and began painting as soon as she could hold a paintbrush in her hand. Her work is largely informed by combining and layering both paint and photographic elements. She specializes in photographing non-traditional weddings and candid, documentary style storytelling for couples and families. With a painting style that is a funky mixture of abstract and whimsically illustrative, she enjoys designing and painting medium sized murals and creating custom art commissions that focus on sentimental details.

Personal

After living in Atlanta for a decade, she and her family now reside in the charming south GA town of Americus where they love the feel of small town life. She spends most of her personal time playing with her four year old son, and going on hikes with her husband. She enjoys tending to her small vegetable garden, and taking day trips to other historic districts around Georgia, mainly hunting murals.

Teaching

In 2022, Madison opened her own brick and mortar art studio where she could teach art on her own terms. Art Hive is a boutique process art studio located in the heart of Historic Downtown Americus where Madison teaches weekly process art classes to creative little thinkers. She also works with families on collaborative art projects on a by-appointment basis.
