AUGUST 2025Butterfly Daze 2025 — Friends of Jimmy Carter National Historical Park
The second-year rebrand of this annual weekend celebrating former First Lady Rosalynn Carter’s life and legacy, held August 16–18, 2025, in Plains, GA.
For year two, I moved the identity into a fresh direction — a hand-lettered butterfly logo mark and monochromatic blue palette layered over archival black-and-white photography — while keeping the event’s signature imagery of Rosalynn front and center. I designed the full print system: event t-shirt, 11x17 poster, and a double-sided 5x7 schedule card.
Deliverables:
Event t-shirt — the hand-lettered “Butterfly Daze” logo mark paired with the archival Rosalynn Carter photograph, printed on navy for a wearable keepsake tied directly to the event’s visual identity
11x17 poster — large-format announcement piece featuring the new logo lockup, event dates, and headline activities (painting party, cooking demo, stamp reveal, butterfly release)
5x7 schedule card (front/back) — the detailed day-by-day itinerary across all three days, including times, locations, ticketing notes, and a QR code linking to full event details
Where 2024 leaned into a vintage floral collage aesthetic, the 2025 identity introduces a custom hand-drawn logotype and simplified color story — giving the event room to build unique brand recognition year-to-year while still anchoring every piece to the same archival photograph of Rosalynn that’s become the event’s visual signature.
